Studying in South Africa
Johannesburg is a dynamic, diverse and cultural hot spot of South Africa, with many different religions and cultures in one place. Being the major financial hub of Africa means there is lots on offer for international students who will be in the country for extensive periods of time. A myriad of different restaurants with almost any cuisine on offer, shopping and convenient transport options makes Johannesburg an ideal studying location and will make students feel right at home.
English Language Requirements
It is strongly advisable that anyone considering to travel to South Africa for flight training evaluates their English skill level as well as clients whom do not speak English as their first language. The SACAA (South African Civil Aviation Authority) requires a minimum of an ICAO Level 4 English to obtain a pilot's license. If you do not meet these requirements you may not commence training.
Study Visas
Clients wishing to join FTS for flight training must ensure that you meet South Africa's VISA requirements. International clients are responsible for obtaining there own study VISA's, FTS will not organize study VISA's on behalf of clients. Please consult the useful links below to see the necessary requirements or steps to follow to obtain a study VISA on South Africa's Home Affairs website.
